There is a place in Launceston town that is run by about 100 years fishing experience and that must be worth a visit. Not that they are old timers, but rather old hands at fly-fishing. They cater for fly-fishers as well as Iron mongers and wormers, grubbers and muddeyers not to forget spinners.
They have their ear to the ground and can tell you where to go - in the nicest possible way - to catch trout of course.
Steven and Andy in strict alphabetical reversed order are the best bet in town if you want to buy whatever fisher folks need. They are the people who spend lots of time to get you a replacement spring for your reel, and believe me there isn’t much profit in that, but then they are there for the long haul. So far that has paid off. Locals and visitors, all speak very highly of their service. They have more flies than you can poke a 10ft rod at.
